Description
This magical natural opal pendant is about 2.5 inches tall and 1 inch wide and the stone is 34 carats. Welo opals are vibrant, hydrophane precious opals discovered around 2008 in Ethiopia’s Wolo Province. They are generally more stable than other Ethiopian opals and are found in volcanic, rather than sedimentary rock. Durability and Care: They have a Mohs hardness of 5.5 to 6.5. Due to their porous nature, they should be kept away from oils, soaps, and for safety, excessive water. I wrapped this stone with high quality gold filled wire from Rio Grande (14/20). This beauty comes with a matching 18 inch gold filled chain and pretty gift box.
